The platform
MandapSearch.com is an online marketplace connecting customers with independent wedding and event vendors across 24 service categories. MandapSearch facilitates discovery, booking, and escrow-protected payment; the service itself is delivered by the vendor under a direct contract between customer and vendor.
Bookings & the escrow flow
When a customer pays for a booking, the amount is held in escrow via Razorpay. The vendor must accept the booking within 24 hours, otherwise it is auto-cancelled with a full refund. On the event day the vendor delivers the service; once the customer marks the booking complete, the platform deducts its 2% commission and releases the balance to the vendor within 2–5 business days.
Cancellations & refunds
If a vendor rejects or cancels a booking, the customer receives a 100% automatic refund. Customer-initiated cancellations receive a full refund if made before vendor acceptance; after acceptance, refunds follow the vendor's stated cancellation policy shown on their profile, subject to a minimum 50% refund up to 30 days before the event date.
Disputes
If the delivered service materially differs from what was booked, the customer may raise a dispute within 48 hours of the event. Escrow release is paused while MandapSearch admins review evidence from both sides and adjudicate — including partial or full refunds where justified.
Vendor obligations
Vendors must provide accurate business information, honour accepted bookings and quoted prices, maintain their availability calendar, and deliver services professionally. Repeated cancellations, fake reviews, off-platform payment solicitation, or misrepresentation lead to suspension and forfeiture of pending featured placements.
Commission & fees
Customers pay no platform fee. Vendors are charged a 2% commission on the value of completed bookings, deducted automatically before payout. Optional paid upgrades (featured listings, verified badge tiers, banner ads) are billed separately as per their published pricing.
Marketing agents
Marketing agents earn commissions on completed bookings generated by vendors or customers they referred, at rates set in their agent agreement. Self-referrals and fraudulent referral activity void the related commissions.
Limitation of liability
MandapSearch's total liability for any booking is limited to the platform commission earned on that booking. We are not liable for vendor performance, but the escrow system exists precisely so your money is never at risk for undelivered services.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Hyderabad, Telangana having exclusive jurisdiction.
